Environmentally gentle, wood/glass construction in a 10 acre estate setting with views of adjacent ridges and valleys.
The passive solar construction keeps the home natuarally warm and sunny in winter, and shaded and cool in summer.
The design provides insulating air flows through thick double walls and attics, with buried "cool tube" air inlets into the crawl space.
Great Room includes living room, dining room,
kitchen, and entry hall that share soaring 25' ceilings.
First floor includes the great room, two bedroom/offices (south, north), bathroom, and laundry room.
Second floor includes master bedroom area with library/office, solarium office, master bath, closet, and storage area
Solarium is structurally separate but joined to the south wall, with two floors of glass walls on each of four sides.
Wraparound decks embrace knoll, with trails throughout the park-like property
Outbuildings include 2 attractive guest cabins, several storage and tool sheds, a shop
and a beautiful meditation hut in an isolated lower glade.
Ten-acre property includes several acres of fenced, usable land,
as well as forested areas of majestic oaks, hundreds of redwoods,
and even more madrone and bay trees.
Peace and privacy, with gated entries from Zayante Road to the Ellen Roads, and thence 1.5 miles to the driveway (see our local road map.)
Located about 25 minutes from Los Gatos or Felton, and 40 minutes from the Santa Cruz beach.
